In the tyres & rims industry, 99.9% of dual rims are not adequately centered. The common practice of hub centering is only a partial and temporary solution, since the hub has to be a perfect fit onto the rim, in order to adequately center the rim. Even if one can get the hub to be a perfect fit, the heat of the brakes applied, is transferred to the hub and with the hub heating up, the rim would seize to the hub, making it very difficult to remove the rim from the hub.
A far better approach to this problem is “stud centering”. With our unique product – the Dual Centering Sleeve - both rims are centered on the studs in a triangular method, which ensures the even distribution of torque over the whole area.
Since even a 1mm difference in radial run-out will adversely affect tyres the Dual Centering Sleeve ensures a longer lifetime for your tyres.
